If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I’m still at the beach, in Wild Dunes. My husband and I were eating lunch with our friends at an outdoor restaurant, and a man was standing outside waiting to order. Jeffrey starts to talk to him and they get into a conversation, Jeffrey asks where he lives, he says he has a place here in Wild Dunes. I thought to myself, wait a minute, I’m currently buying a place here. Turns out, he was my seller. He was standing six feet away from me and he would’ve been standing there for 10 minutes without me knowing he was the one who sold me his place if Jeffrey hadn’t spoken to him.
There’s so much power in this, what are the odds and chances of this situation happening? The universe wanted us to meet, that’s what I took away from that. The universe wanted to remind me that you need to talk to everybody. You need to be friendly and think that every single person on this planet could potentially be a friend, long-term client, or a business partner. Who knows? If you don’t talk to them, you’ll never know. Who knows if you can help them or they can help you.
In this episode of The Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast, we will be discussing how to create the game plan for your most productive days yet!

If you’re selling online, you’re probably wondering, if I have thousands of people visiting my page, how do I get to know all of them? You have to care. You have to want to know your clients. I’m not saying you have to know every single person who takes your course, but why not pick up the phone or send out an email once in a while to find out how it’s going for them? They’ve invested in something you offer, why not take the impersonal part out of online business and put the personal touch back into it?
A year ago, I was in a Facebook Group and thought it would be amazing to find a Virtual Assistant who knew more about Kajabi. I came across this one female entrepreneur who stood out, her name is Louise. Louise stood out because she was constantly commenting on people’s questions, and cheering people on. I immediately reached out to her and we’ve been working with her ever since. When you offer consistent help and value you will stand out. People are going to notice when you’re showing up as a leader and that you have information or skills to help them. There are coaches who say if you give too much value, you won’t get sales. Wrong. Give your value, how will they know how much talent you have and how good you are if you hold all your value back?

Give value in a Facebook Group, Instagram posts, in the DMs, give value in some way. That is the best way to start a relationship, and then they will contact you and ask for more information. This is when you can have that conversation about moving to the next stage of working together. I see all these people doing consultation calls, they’re great because it helps determine if you are going to take on the client and if you’re a good fit for each other. However, what I’m seeing happen is that oftentimes you do the call and you offer amazing advice, but you don’t pitch yourself or offer the next steps.
You’ve just given 1-1 individualized help to someone who’s going to benefit, you spent time out of your day giving them information that will last for months, years, a lifetime. Paint the picture of them working with you. So many people think it could be manipulative when you get them on a call and ask them to buy from you, it’s not manipulative if you feel like you’re helping. If you genuinely feel like you can help someone, you owe it to them to offer your help.
A lot of people just talk about giving out value, it’s more than that. The customer has to perceive it to be valuable. You have to think about long-term, a simple greeting to a stranger could turn into a life-long relationship, but you’ll never know that until you create those genuine relationships.
