In this episode, I’m sharing what a Breakthrough Business Babe even is in the first place, so read the five points I share below to find out! And for even more juicy details, listen to ALL of episode 1 of the Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast on your fave streaming platform.
Before I dive into anything else, I want us to answer the question, “What is a breakthrough.” In this instance, it’s a moment in time where you achieve success. And sometimes it feels sudden or dramatic or like it just happens, but the truth is that it’s not the breakthrough moment where the magic happens. The real defining moment and the magic is every single thing that led to that breakthrough.
So my job on this podcast is to help you get more and more breakthroughs every single day. That’s right – every day. And the truth is, I bet that you are already having more breakthroughs than you realize on a daily basis. Because most of the time, most people only look at their breakthroughs when it’s like that instance, that moment, that massive feeling of success. But breakthroughs are happening all along the way, and they don’t have to be huge to still count and matter.
That’s why I want you to start challenging yourself every single day to write down one breakthrough you had that day. I promise that once you start looking and training your brain to find your daily breakthroughs, you’re gonna be having them all the time.
In this episode of The Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast, we will be discussing how to create the game plan for your most productive days yet!
This is for female entrepreneurs who want to sell without being salesy, get to that next level, create consistent income and create both time and financial freedom.
Join and create YOUR breakthrough, babe.
In this episode of The Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast, I’m sharing principles of marketing that are effective in ANY time and situation!
So, now I want to talk to you about what karate taught me about business. And don’t worry – this karate metaphor is super relevant to your own life, even if you’ve never practiced it before. Because the lessons karate taught me were really all about business, and that first lesson was on the importance of mindset. Your attitude and your belief system are SO freakin’ important.
Because here’s the thing about success in business: you have to believe that you can do something before you’re going to do it. So if you want that million dollar launch, you first have to believe that you’re capable of it. If you want that hundred-thousand-dollar business, you first have to believe that you’re capable of it.
It’s my belief the mindset contributes to over 50 percent of all success. And if your first response is negative and you think you can’t do X, Y or Z, guess what? You are going to prove that thought to be true as well. That’s why I will not teach a sales course without teaching attitude and belief and mindset.
Now, I’m not telling you you need to go out and get a really expensive coach. But what I am telling you is you need to be following coaches and have mentors who are going to be able to guide you along the way.
And if you’re just starting your business, that may mean you’re following a coach for free on their podcast. Maybe you’re listening to me on my podcast or on Facebook lives or in other on their blogs or whatever.
But really what you need to do is cut through the noise because there are a lot of coaches out there and some of them are great but you’re not never going to relate to them. Some of them you’re going to relate to, but they’re not so good. And you have to figure out which coaches are the ones who have made it to where you’re trying to go. They’ve done that. They’ve made the mistakes. They’re willing to be transparent and share those things (just like I’ll be doing on this podcast!) to keep you from making the same blunders.
Jen Gitomer gained her prowess in NYC as both a salesperson and award-winning sales leader for a Fortune 500 company. She left corporate America to fulfill her entrepreneurial dream. Jennifer helps entrepreneurs increase their revenue and profit through her proven sales strategies. In addition to the Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast, Jennifer co-hosts the Sell or Die podcast with her husband, Jeffrey.
She is the best-selling Author of Sales in a New York Minute – 212 Pages of Real-World, Easy to Implement Sales Strategies to Make More Sales, Build Loyal Relationships and Make More Money, the CEO and Founder of Breakthrough Business Babe and a master business growth coach. When she’s not working, you’ll find Jen planning her next Paris trip, taking a yoga class, playing tennis, or hanging out with her family and Cavalier King Charles fur babies.
So what do I mean by “strategy”? Strategy entails your focus, your dedication and your concentration.
And every single thing that you are doing in your business needs a strategy. Otherwise, you’re going to be spinning your wheels and wasting your time on the things that may not really matter or contribute to your success. That’s why there are so many people, especially newer business owners who are working three million hours because they’re doing all the things rather than just the necessary things.
The next element where I see people making massive breakthroughs is when they have a community. This means they are a part of a group of people who are cheering them on, coaching them on, making referrals and just all around being those positive lights in their life.
Now, let me be real. I’m an introvert. I love being home and being alone. And I could probably be a little bit hermit, if my husband would let me. But the truth is, having a community of people to rely on, to get feedback from, to chat with is one of the things that has contributed to my growth. Tremendously!
So if you are not yet part of a community, you need to start searching for one because it is one of the biggest contributing factors to your potential success. And I don’t think that the so-called experts are talking about it enough.
Listen: if you really want, you could do everything on your own. Just like if you don’t want to follow a coach, you don’t have to. And if you don’t want to be strategic about everything you’re doing, that’s fair. And you can still be successful and probably still hit six figures without these four elements of mindset, coaching, strategy and community.
But are you going to hit your goals the fastest way? No. Are you going to be at the most scalable position? No. Are you going to be able to grow your business in the best way after that? Probably not. Because these four elements are critical to your success.
So to wrap up this episode, I’m giving YOU your Breakthrough Business Babe Challenge: Think about what your breakthrough is today – and it doesn’t have to be big! And then think about what next step you need to make. Who are the people you’re following? What business strategies do you need to take action on to get to the next step? Who’s in your community? And how is your mindset?
Before you do it, though, just don’t forget to tune in to episode 1 of the Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast to hear even MORE details about all five the points I just outlined above! And if you love this episode as much as I do, don’t forget to take a screenshot, share it on your Insta stories and tag me @jengitomer so that we can spread this important message to even more entrepreneurs and biz babes!
